The Carol S. Petrea Youth Golf Foundation
Lin is a retired executive with ExxonMobil after working for them for 35 years. He has been a volunteer with The First Tee since 2011. During that time he has been a coach, a mentor, served on multiple committees and is now the Board Chair. Lin is married with three children and has seven grand children.
Keith has served on the board since 2014. Keith is currently in his 37th year in education. in 2016 Keith was named the Technology in Education and Educator of the Year by the Grand Strand Tech Council. Keith is married with two children and one grandchild.
Larry has led an extensive Executive Finance Career in banking, consulting and as a University Professor. He has been working in the non-profit field for 40 years. Larry has been a volunteer with The First Tee since 2013 serving as a coach in the after school program and on the faculty with The Carolinas Leadership Academy. Larry joined the Board of Directors in 2017.
Ruth is a retired executive in the financial industry, including the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago, the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation and a commercial bank. She has been a volunteer with The First Tee since 2013 serving as a coach and Communications Chair. She has previously served on several nonprofit boards in Chicago. She joined the CSPYGF, Inc Board of Directors in 2014. Ruth is married and enjoys playing golf and traveling.
Tom is a PGA Professional who has spent his entire life in Golf Course Management. Tom is currently managing 22 golf courses, real estate and the tee time call center for the Founders Group. Tom is currently employed by East Coast Golf Management. He is currently the President of the Myrtle Beach Golf Course Owners Association and has served on the board for The First Tee since 2014.
Jerry Briele, Jr.
Jerry has been serving on the board since 2012. He is currently the General Manager of The Emerald Golf Club, in New Bern, NC. Tom also serves on the Board of Directors for the Seeds Ministry since 2012. He is currently the chairman of Patriot Golf Day at The Emerald Club since 2010, with over $100,000 raised for the Folds of Honor Foundation.
Russ is retired from a career in senior management at Bank of America, Visa and Chevron. Since moving to Brunswick County in 2015, he has been active coaching and volunteering with The First Tee of Coastal Carolinas. In 2016, Russ became a certified Level 1 Coach. He was elected to the Board in 2017.
